Hmm… My oh my– I can’t believe how long its been since I’ve last posted.. Sooo sorry to everyone that I haven’t kept up on this like I had in the begining. Things have been a little crazy.. I dont even know where to start…

Lets see…. I’m still living in Florida and am still part of the Disney College Program. My program was supposed to end in August however I was asked to extend my program and stay till January! So I’m here till January 2,2010…. I’m still working in the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom, and totally loving it!
Since I last posted I’ve been the the ER a few more times with Asthma troubles.. In June I had a lot of asthma trouble and in one week had been to the ER 3 times and they finally discovered that I was having soo much breathing trouble because I ended up with walking pneumonia.. OMG I think that was one of the worst times ever… I was soo sick and had to miss an entire week of work, which was horrible! Then as I was gettin over that I went home for a week and spent time with my family and had a couple doctor visits to get my asthma under control.. With a few changes to my medications and such I’ve done MUCH MUCH better! Was soo much fun to go home for a week and get to see my family etc.. Once my week was over at home I flew back to Florida to continue my internship… Since I’ve been back I’ve had a few more trips to the hospital.. I’m upto a total of 14 alpha calls and 12 trips to the ER UGH……. Being ASTHMATIC SUCKS! However on a more positive note as of today I’ve gone a month and 7 days without an alpha call! YEAH~ WOO HOO~ Have only had to use my albuterol a couple of times but no biggie!
The parks are all decorated for Fall and looking beautiful! Magic Kingdom looks absolutely beautiful with all the fall decorations.. Has been fairly busy right now because of all the Halloween parties at night.. Its been soo much fun to see all the fun halloween costumes etc. Epcot is super busy right now because of the Food and Wine festival till like the first week of Novemeber… HollyWood Studios is really fun as well but not nearly as busy right now– last week I rode Rockin Roller Coaster 3 times in a row without any wait.. Was amazing! Haven’t been to Animal Kingdom recently but hopefully will get to go there soon.. Downtown Disney is always fun and lots goin on down there.. As far as the water parks haven’t been yet but am hoping to go soon.. Just waiting on my foot to heal first (more on that later)…. Have also gotten to do lots of trips to the mall and outlet malls as well.. Haven’t bought much but just really fun to wander and see what all is out there other than Disney stuff.. I do find it quite comical tho that we work at Disney all day everyday and then when we go to the mall we still can’t pass the DisneyStore without it.. Kidna fun! Also have my daily or almost daily trips to starbucks! However its just not the same without my bestest roomie Chels~! I miss you girl! You know I go there WAY TOOO MUCH when I walk in and they have it ready for me! I love my starbucks peeps!
Lets see.. What else have I been upto.. Working, making magic, spending some time at the pool (gettin quite tan I must say), reading in my spare time ( never thought I’d like it but am kinda hooked on the Twilight series! )
Since I was extended till January I had to move apartments and so now I have all new roommates again.. I really miss my old roommie Chels– We did everything together… she was the best!!! My new roommies are alright– Jessica and I get along the best tho! Am still living in vista Way.. This apt isn’t too bad.. Its pretty decent and not like my first one..
The weather is still gorgeous as always! last week was absolutely perfect, no humidity.. It had cooled off a little bit and was just perfect.. now this week its back to being really warm and humid again.. oh well still very nice– Guess I shouldn’t be complaining too much cuz I could be back home and where its cold and snowing already!
So for the most part everything is going great.. I can’t believe its already October.. This year has flown by– well need to go get my laundry outta the dryer and start gettin things finished up for the evening so I can head to bed since I have to be and to work before 8 am!

OH WAIT….. I almost forgot– I mentioned earlier in my note here that I was waiting for my foot to heal… Sooo… about 2 weeks ago I was at work and gettin a few things outta the stock room and a ladder was propped up against a shelf and another cast memeber walked past and either bumped it or the motion of her walking past with her cart made it fall over. Anyways– it fell on my foot, therefore causing me to be on light duty.. the dr doesn’t seem to think its broken just severely bruised and when it landed on my foot it hit the tendons as well. So I spent the first week in a walking cast shoe and crutches then last week in the walking cast shoe and now I just have a bulky ankle brace on my foot.. Its kinda helping until my foot starts swelling! Anyways– hopefully it gets better soon cuz I can’t do light duty much more.. I need to be with people and have interactions with guests etc..

Well just realized what time it was and my laundry is done so better hurry and go get it out!

Er yet again and randomness

So just realized that I haven’t posted since mid April! Wow lots has happened since then! I think I’ve been taken to the ER 3 times asince then! Ugh I hate asthma! Anyways the two before last night were pretty bad and scarey! Took several breathing treatments to get it under control! Last nights was bad but not as bad as the last two! Turns out last nights was caused from startin in with bronchitis! Ugh.. Seems like a never ending battle! Oh well this to shall pass!
So have gotten very tan over the last few weeks ! I’m totally loving it!
Magic kingdom hasn’t been too super busy lately however it will start puckin up now as school is gettin out etc! Has been lots of fun! so I’ve decided to extend my program and stay till January! Now just waitin to extend and hope I get accepted!
Well need to sign off for now as it’s almost 2:30 am! So gotta get some sleep! Talk to ya soon! Lots of love and hugs!

A few random things

Hmmm… Where shall I begin.???? Well since I last posted I ‘ve been in the hospital a few times for asthma troubles yet again.. UGH! Am doing better except for a bad sinus infection– Oh well hopefully it will get better soon.. The parks haven’t been all that busy lately however just this week the park attendance is starting to increase since we are starting back into peak season again.. YEAH! I love it when its busy– Last week I finished my disney class– YEAH! I passed with a B! Am super excited.. So am back to having 2 days off now! So on my days off I’ve gone to the parks to play, gone to downtown disney and shopped, done some pin trading and just hung out along with doing the usual grocery shopping, laundry etc..
The program is still going really well am totally loving the emporium.. Its a total blast! However have had some roommate issues again– hopefully tho now that the one has moved things will be better! Well am goin to sign off for now so I can head to bed– Just wanted to do a quick post.. talk to you all soon! Love and hugs to all!

Spring is here !!!

Wow so I can’t believe that Easter has come and gone already.. Wow where is this year goin? So the last couple weeks have been extremely busy at work… The magic kingdom has actually been at maximum capacity several times in the past week.. So needless to say things have been very busy but lots of fun… intact one day we went way over budget and broke record sales… Was incredible!
Everyone in my apt has been sick.. So hopefully they will get better soon!
Today is my day off and it’s been wonderful.. Have gotten to hang out with my bestest and favoritest roommate who I haven’t seen in weeks.. Has been spent hangin out goin to starbucks cleaning sitting by the pool goin to target and well whatever else we can fit in.. Has been wonderful! I was totally havin Chelsea withdrawls…

First 4 am closing shift

So it’s 4am and just got off… Was a great night.. Went by pretty fast surprisingly… Have to say I could get used to this kind of shift… well the bus is here so gotta sign off but will post more later… Ps thanks to starbucks I’m still awake and not all that tired yet… Will definitely be gettin one tomorrow since I have an 8 hour shift till 4 am again:-) lots of hugs and love! <3

Can’t Believe its April already

Wow where has this year gone? I can’t believe we are already into April…. However am very excited that we are already into the month of April because now starts all the fun stuff at the parks, the peak season, magic hours and well the list goes on..
So I think I’ve finally found the right concotion of meds.. Its been almost a month since I’ve ended up in the ER with asthma troubles and well almost 2weeks since centra care with a sinus infection.. So I think that I’m finally on a roll! YEAH! Now if my back will just cooperate I will be doin amazingly awesome!
Anyways– so over the past couple weeks I’ve mainly been really busy with working since we are in peak season.. Have also been busy with class… Am almost done with class which is hard to believe.. Am off over the next 2 weeks from class due to spring break and because of it being peak season and right now the parks are extrememly busy because of it being easter weekend!
Have had some amazing guest interactions/experiences over the last few days!
met a cute 2 year old little boy the other day and I had bent down to straighten up the mickeys on the shelf and the little boy comes up to me and we start playin with mickey and then the little boy climbed into the shelf and sat with the mickeys then he started bringing me a bunch of the little mickeys to play with.. was soo cute!
Have had several different occassions where I’ve been asked to help a little princess find the perfect dress which has been lots and lots of fun!
A couple days ago I had just come back from break and was tasking and as I was going to get a new assignment this lady stopped me and says: I hope your answer is yes- I was like well what are we looking for? She goes I need a 102 of these! She held up this purple little book about the magic kingdom.. I was like well let me go see what I can find. So I ran to the stock room and turned out we had 48 of them.. So i went back out and told her that I had 48 books but that we could have them sent to her or something. Then I was like or.. We could do a mixture of books for all the parks. So I ended up talking her into doing all 48 of magic kingdom books and then 50 hollywood studios books and then the rest in epcot. so turned out that she purchased 106 books and 8 photo albums. totaled out to 866.44 then she was like well i don’t know how i’m gonna get this all outta the park and on to the bus etc. So I was like well how about purchasing our 20.00 duffle bag on wheels? So she went with it and I packed it all in the duffle and she was soo happy! Ive never seen a person soo happy after spending soo much money– was amazing- when I told my managers they were soo happy and couldn’t believe it!
Well this week is gonna be super crazy busy because of it being the week before Easter. Infact need to start gettin ready for work since I have to catch the bus in a hour. Am working 10pm-4am… So need to go get ready for work…. Hope everyone is doing well… Send a note when you get a chance! HUGS to all! Love and miss you!

WOW an interesting adventure~!

Soo much has happened since my last post.. Well have ended up in the centra care again this week with a sinus infection and a little bit of asthma trouble from the sinus infection.. So think that the antibiotics they put me on are actually working! YEAH !:-)
The parks have been really busy with spring breakers! Has been awesome to meet soo many fun guests and hear all their wonderful stories! Class is almost over for the semester.. Can’t believe how fast things are flyin by.. The apt is goin pretty good– had some roommate troubles again but I think that things are working out and gettin better!
Am totally loving hangin out in the parks on my free time, pin trading and just having fun!
Well gotta sign off for now so I can get ready for work.. But just wnated to make a quick post and then also tell you about my adventure that just happened..

So chels and I were walking back from starbucks and these little birdies fly outta the tree at us and lands in her hair flys out lands on my head then flies into my face. then to my shoulder and then flys away– was soo funny! We just stood their laughin.. then we get to security and a a lizard jumps out at us! we stood their still laughing and the security guard was like whats up? so we had to explain to him and then he just stood their laughin as well..

Day off

Hello to all my wonderful friends!

So yesterday was my day off because of my marketing you class! Anyways– went to class in the mornin and then my roommates and I walked over to starbucks.. When we got home we began cleaning the apartment and getting things perfect because inspection day is today! So we got all done and then some of us went to dinner at the T-REX restaurant in downtown Disney! WOW great place to eat! sooo yummy! anyways while we were there I started in with Asthma troubles becasue the pollen was soo high.. so we walked around for a little while then ended up comin home.. We were home for a little while and all doing our own thing when this guy comes and taps on our window and it shatters and goes everywhere.. So we had to call security etc.. was horrible… I was on my way to catch a taxi to get to centra care because my asthma was really bad and my nebulizer is still broken and should have one here soon.. Hopefully! so I got to centra care and went to the er side and they were great.. treated me right away! amazing how much a breathing treatment helps! So got done there and came back to my apartment only to find our window all boarded up cuz of when it broke.. Also found out that they had to call the paramedics becuase my roommate nyia had been sittin with her back turned to the window when it broke and a piece of glass flew and gouged her leg open.. so they pulled the glass out and seemed to think it would be ok!
So guess you can say– never a dull moment around here.. always something goin on!

Florida Life

Wow didn’t realize it had been soo long since I last posted on here.. Anyways– lots happening and going on since I last posted..
Have been really busy with work.. We’ve entered peak season so will be really busy and have crazy hours over the next couple months or so. Am also busy with classes both here at Disney and also online thru CSI… they are going really well.. I’m loving them all– My marketing you class is really fun and am learning all kinds of neat stuff.. Am glad that I chose to take classes this time..
When I’m not working I’m either hanging out at my apartment, cleaning, doing laundry, homework, or playing in the parks, hanging with friends or who knows what.. Am always doing something… Has been soo much fun to go to the parks.. Have been to all the parks now except for the water parks.. Magic Kingdom is still my favorite.. Epcot will be really fun to go to after next week because the Flower and garden festival will be up and running.. I can’t wait to see it.. They’ve already started some of it and its looking amazing! ESPN weekend at the studios was ok.. but have to say it wasn’t nearly as good as it has been in the past.. Didn’t get to see anyone famous when I went.. however was still fun to get to go… Animal Kingdom is still the same– was there this last weekend to meet up with my friend Steph.. She was in town for the weekend so was really fun to get together and hang out! Was fun to see her and watch wishes together! Brought back some fun memories! I miss you girl!
Lets see… Work is goin really good– Have had lots of really fun stories and things going on lately… Some of them are :
1. I was merchantaining this last week and noticed this lady sitting in a wheelchair in the corner of our store by the door.. So I went over and started talking to her.. Well turned out she was waiting for her mom and sister to come back .. Her mom was in the wheelchair but wanted to get up and go shopping so the daughter kept the wheelchair… While we were talking the daughter proceeded to tell me how they had come down to celebrate the mom’s 77th birthday and how the mom had been kinda sick and all she wanted to do was come down to disney for her birthday and she wanted all her family to be there with her so she paid for all the kids and grandkids to come down.. Was soo neat to hear her story– Anyways so I asked how many were in here group and she said there were 8 of them.. I told her that I had something for her and that I’d be right back.. Well I ran into the back and got 8 celebrate buttons, 8 family reunion buttons and a happily ever after button for the mom.. When I came back and gave them to the family they were soo excited and happy they were crying.. It was soo neat and special..
2. I saw this little boy crying in the stroller and so I bent down to talk to him and give him some mickey mouse stickers.. He was all sad because he wanted the toy castle we had in the toy room and the mom didn’t want to purchase it because of the cost and because she didn’t think he would really play with it.. anyways I bent down and was talking to him and after a few mins of talking to him he quit crying and took the mickey stickers and was ok.. Was pretty special tho because he was here with give kids the world…
3. I was working register and this mom and 3 girls came to my register and they had these lanyards on saying national champs.. I asked what it was for and turned out they were here for dance/cheer competitions.. They took 1st place in several categories.. So I was like wow thats soo neat! congratulations! I then was like wow thats somethign to celebrate! how many are on your team? They were like well theres 30 of us.. I said ok.. Ill be right back.. I ran to the back and got 30 celebrate buttons and put them into a little bag and when i gave them to the girls they were soo excited that I would give them some.. Was pretty funny– cuz then there were people waiting in line behind them that were celebrating just being married and wanted celebrate buttons and then behind them was a birthday celebration and then behind them was another group of cheerleaders and behind them was an anniversary adn then another birthday– was soo cool to give out soooo sooo sooo sooo sooo many fun buttons! My managers were definitely impressed that night with the amount that I gave out.. Was kinda fun!

Random Updates

Well.. where oh where shall I begin….>????? Since I last posted lots has happened.. Last post I made was when I ended up in the ER last week.. So since then, I’ve been on all kinds of meds and been to centra care, which is the quick care facility here.. I think that after a week of not feeling good I’m finally starting to feel better and like a normal human being.. I think that the meds are finally starting to work.. YEAH! Over the last week my schedule has been pretty crazy and I’ve had odd hours.. however now this week my schedule is some what normal.. meaning I go in at a decent time and am off at a fairly decent time therefore leaving a little extra time to sleep which makes a BIG difference for my asthma! This week I’ve gotten to work all over the emporium! Has been soo much fun.. Am also still meeting tons of great people both as cast members and guests.. I’ve had tons of great stories, magical moments, take 5′s etc.. A couple of my favorites from the week are:
1. I was door greeting in the children’s toy room area and this little girl by the name of Olivia comes toddling into the store with grandpa at her side.. She was wearing a Happy Birthday button with her name on it.. I got down on my knees to tell her Happy Birthday and to giver her some mickey mouse stickers.. As soon as I gave her the mickey mouse stickers she toddles a little closer to me and gives me a BIG hug and says thank you! As I said thank you to her and waived good bye I asked her how old she was and she replies “i’m 2!” she was soo cute!
2. This little boy and his mom and brother were looking at hats and I went over to talk to them and they were also interested in my pins on my lanyard.. The little boy saw one that he really wanted to have and he was looking at his lanyard and tryin to decide what he could trade.. He turned to his mom and says mom do you have one I can trade? Shes replies with: what happened to the ones I just gave you to trade.. He puts his hand in his pocket and says I traded for a very special one.. She hands him a pin to trade and I trade with the little boy.. She then Goes ok mr.. Let me see this special secret pin.. He’s like no mom its for tomorrow.. She continues to ask to see the pin.. He then pulls out the special pin outta his pocket and shows it to his mom.. He says it was supposed to be for tomorrow.. As he shows her the mom started crying and was like OH thats soo soo sweet buddy! Turned out the little boy had spotted a Happy Birthday pin and traded with someone for it.. His moms birthday was the next day and he wanted to have a special pin to give to her for her birthday.. SO when the mom saw the pin she started to cry and was like aww… thats soo sweet baby! Ill pretend I didnt’ see it and you can save it for tomorrow.. The little boy was soo proud of what he had done!
3. This family of 3 was tryin on funny hats and was taking turns of taking pics with the mom and son and then the dad and son.. I saw them tryin to take pics and I went up to them and said hey would you like to have a group photo? They were soo tickled that I would take a photo that included all of them..
SO… thats just a few of my special thigns from work! You never know when or where you will helping to make/spread the magic! This position is a lot like my nursing career in that its such a rewarding career and sure it may be stressful/crazy at times and you may just wanna go home but in the end you leave with such a rewarding feeling and knowing that you made a difference to someone.. I totally love being a Castmemeber at WDW!
SOOO… a little more good news to add to my blog! I’m SUPER excited because my Brother Brad had his final basketball game on Tuesday to determine if they go to state for championships.. THEY WON by 10 points and are going to state next weekened! I am soo soo soo proud of him! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they will win at state as well! Will let you know how it all goes.. CONGRATS Brad!
So.. thats the news for this week.. I work tomorrow and then Friday day I’m going to go to Hollywood Studios and check out the ESPN weekend stuff.. then Friday night I think I’m going to hang out with Chelsea and her mom since she will be in town that night.. Then work saturday and sunday and off on monday!
Well need to sign off for now.. Its almost 1am here and I have to be up somewhat early so that I can catch the bus on time in the morning for work.. Will post more later! Love and hugs to all!
